The more stupid you are, the more money you make

Yes… as you have read.

In the world of business, especially in services, people continue to have a terrible myopia.

I put you two examples.

Fulanito A charges you 250$/hour.

Good guy. Experienced. Love to work focused, fast

He doesn’t waste his time in chitchats, bad coffee machines, etc.

Fulanito B charges you 250$/hour.

He is stupid…

Or, let’s say that he has not the same level of experience, and when you ask him to do something, he breathes deeply, take 15 min meditation prior to work, and then touch softly and slowly the keyboard. Inspire. Expire.

Fulanito A takes 10 hours in doing the work.

Fulanito B, after getting a master in the Calm App, takes 40 hours in doing the same job.

Of course, Fulanito A who didn’t touch his balls got better quality than the patchy Fulanito B in his job.

Fulanito A gets a pay of 2.500$.

Fulanito B gets a pay of 10.000$.

So, the more stupid, the more inefficient, the more slow… the more money you make for the same job.

Of course, you may be thinking that Fulanito A deserves to be paid more for his hours.

But how much.

Would you pay him 1.000$/hour? Sure? Do you think that people would pay for that?

I believe he deserves probably 1.250$ just for the value of my time and my brain sanity that won’t have to observe Fulanito B typing speed… but No… that’s not how people see it.

If I could learn a whole Harvard MBA in 1 month, it should cost more… no less than the 2 years waste of time MBA.

Would you pay more?

Sure?

Just 1 month vs 2 years…

Same knowledge. Exactly the same.

The answer is no.

It cannot be that good. They will be making too much money in only 1 month. What would be the rate per day. Etc.

Those are the excuses of your limiting brain.

Look. If you calculate the hourly rate of Picasso when painting El Guernica, it would be probably closer to 1.000.000$/hour than to 100.000$/hour… and I’m sure that you can find a painter at 100$/hour that will give you something relatively similar in a few months.

So, I repeat.

Society rewards mediocrity… and I’m not referring today to politicians.

Our brain is still unable to understand that fast is better.

Your brain sees a 1.000$/hour and because you don’t have an abundance mindset, your first reaction is: “Expensive”, and then calculate how much money the guy will make in a year working 40 hours a week…

This is why I love products.

You do it once. You sell forever.

That’s leverage against idiocy.

In the link below, you have knowledge that can transform your life. Still… some people will do the mental math of how many dollars “cost” each minute of video.

A study by the Strava app (an app for tracking running workouts) analyzed 800 million activities. Not 1 million. Not 2 million. 800 million. Do you know what they found? You can imagine. Around 80% of people abandoned their fitness resolutions before January 19. A couple of days ago, 80% bye, adios, au revoir… dreams, resolutions, sense of purpose… gone. John Norcross and Dominic Vangarelli, two guys that use your taxes to make research also focus on New Year’s resolutions. Look what they...

Among my conversations these last days in Spain is common to discuss about business. If you work for someone else, you’re not building your own business. You’re building someone else’s business. Making him, her, them, rich… because if you are in this newsletter, I know you work hard. Then, people want to create their business. Great. You think that business will eventually give you loads of freedom and money. But the reality is, what you’re actually building is your own maximum-security...

He’ll be president in hours and he wrote the email of today. “One thing we all need to remember is that a little effort is the best replacement for excuses. If we were all to make an effort to understand what’s going on around us, to make that quantum leap to using our higher, non-complacent minds, some lucid thinking might result. Problem solving is education at its best. Just as understanding can replace hatred, education can replace fear” Donald Trump Education. Learning something new...
