What you discuss under the sheets...

In 1965, a Hungarian man named László Polgar wrote several letters to a woman named Klara.

This guy wanted to have some discussions with Klara under sheets.

Moreover, this Polgar was obsessed with one idea:

"A genius is not born; a genius is trained and educated."

He took his obsession to such an extreme that the only thing he aimed to convince Klara of with his strange letters was the need to start a family where they could create geniuses.

Just the two of them, raising their children to be geniuses.

Remember his mantra:

"A genius is not born; a genius is trained and educated."

The fact is that the Polgar couple had three daughters: Susan, Sofia, and Judit.

And from a young age, they were homeschooled to become chess geniuses… and I love chess… and geniuses.

Everything around them revolved around chess.

And that obsession bore fruit.

The Polgar sisters became chess geniuses, winning all kinds of championships.

The youngest, Judit, was the world number one for 27 consecutive years.

So maybe daddy Polgar had a point.

I also want to create my little genius.

I imagine it’s something that happens to all of us with our first child.

We bought for him some classic music books - those with pieces of Mozart, Vivaldi, Beethowen, Bach - some puzzles, etc.

Will it be a good investment for my child’s education?

Who knows… but while jumping on the bed we cannot stop signing “No more monkeys jumping on the bed”…

Early brain stimulation?

I don’t know.

The truth is that we aren’t obsessed at home to the level Polgar did with his daughters and chess… at least not yet.

Now, I wonder what would be best for him…

Should he join soccer to get some exercise?

Should he take swimming lessons to learn to swim from an early age?

Should he take Chinese or French classes because languages are essential?

Should he go to the conservatory because music is good for him?

Should he learn kung fu to defend himself?

Should we send him to camp so he can socialize?

We discuss these issues with other parents from time to time…

But I don’t know if you’ve noticed the same thing.

In my circle, I don’t know anyone who’s concerned about teaching their children about money.

Soccer, music, swimming, languages…

But money, financial freedom, personal growth… seems like a taboo subject.

Well… that’s the reason of this newsletter, and that mindset is what you’ll find in my mentorship.

Humans have a terrible egocentric problem. Since we walk in and out of the caverns, we thought that we were the center of the universe. Just considering the sun being the center, and not us, humans, cost some people lots of trouble or even their lives. This is why you feel essential in your company or your business. You’re wired to feel like that. There are even people out there that don’t leave their jobs for “not letting the mates down, without me” or for “continuing my legacy”, or any...

First… Why should you care? Over and over, we have heard from our parents or at school the same story. Study hard. Get a good degree. With the good degree, a good job. Then, work hard. That’s the perfect receipt to be permanently frustrated about how little money you make, and how much money others make. No matter if you are an operator or a CEO. The money that you make out of selling your time never tastes fulfilling. If you care about that, you should continue your education until you die....

Yesterday I saw that Trump is taking the lead in the pools. That’s terrible. It’s so bad, so bad for you, for the economy and the democracy, that… It’s at least as bad as… if the other lady wins the election. Or as good as… Or as irrelevant as… If you look at any elections or any government with the hope of them changing your life, forget it… unless, of course, you want to be a slave of the system. The maximum thing that Trump winning or the other lady winning will do is changing your mood…...
