You’ve probably seen already the latest video of Elon… Not the one with robots, that’s for another day. The video where SpaceX catches a rocket… aka, they made it land under control. First try. And they succeed. That’s history. In 1000 years, people will look at this moment as we look today to the fall of Constantinople… or the “invention” of the steam engine. A change of era. In theory in 3 hours, we can reuse that rocket and do a new “SEND”. More or less like planes today. ​ They won NASA, the Russians, the Chinese, everyone. ​ Why, and how? ​ How that small company compete with nations pouring billions in military technology to do the same. ​ A little bit, just a little bit, of dictatorship. Naivete. A vision. A purpose. ​ If this doesn’t interest you, it’s OK. ​ Just get the message. ​ You can accomplish something bigger than yourself. You need to find your why, your purpose. And then, work for it. ​ If you say: “yeah, that’s not for me”… Then, you’re right, it won’t. Humans have a terrible egocentric problem. Since we walk in and out of the caverns, we thought that we were the center of the universe. Just considering the sun being the center, and not us, humans, cost some people lots of trouble or even their lives. This is why you feel essential in your company or your business. You’re wired to feel like that. There are even people out there that don’t leave their jobs for “not letting the mates down, without me” or for “continuing my legacy”, or any...
First… Why should you care? Over and over, we have heard from our parents or at school the same story. Study hard. Get a good degree. With the good degree, a good job. Then, work hard. That’s the perfect receipt to be permanently frustrated about how little money you make, and how much money others make. No matter if you are an operator or a CEO. The money that you make out of selling your time never tastes fulfilling. If you care about that, you should continue your education until you die....
Yesterday I saw that Trump is taking the lead in the pools. That’s terrible. It’s so bad, so bad for you, for the economy and the democracy, that… It’s at least as bad as… if the other lady wins the election. Or as good as… Or as irrelevant as… If you look at any elections or any government with the hope of them changing your life, forget it… unless, of course, you want to be a slave of the system. The maximum thing that Trump winning or the other lady winning will do is changing your mood…...
